Phil Conroy

RMHCI

I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) and graduated from Bellevue University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about helping clients build greater self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

I take an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based techniques, and breathwork. I also enjoy working with clients to identify and reshape core belief systems that may be contributing to distress or holding them back. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for meaningful, lasting change.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults, supporting concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges. Prior to pursuing counseling, I worked in New York providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a paraprofessional, which continues to inform my structured, skills-based approach when appropriate. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and work closely with each client to tailor treatment to their individual needs and goals.
