Yosef Platt
RMHCI
Yosef Platt brings a unique combination of clinical experience, educational leadership, and a deep understanding of human relationships to his work as a therapist. He earned his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and holds two master's degrees: one in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and another in Education from Yeshiva University. Additionally, Yosef dedicated Twelve years to full-time Torah study, earning semicha (rabbinic ordination) from prominent rabbinic leaders, including his personal mentor, Rabbi Yitzchak Berkovits.
Before entering the mental health field, Yosef spent nearly a decade teaching and serving in administrative leadership roles in K–12 schools, developing a deep understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the challenges faced by children and parents.
For the past three years, Yosef has worked with children, adults, and couples in clinical settings. He is particularly passionate about integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). He appreciates how these approaches complement one another, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, build practical skills for emotional regulation and healthier relationships, and identify practical paths toward meaningful change.
Yosef's therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. He believes effective therapy should not only help clients better understand themselves but also equip them with the tools to navigate life's challenges and create lasting, positive change.
